Customer service is a term commonly over used by companies who claim their pre, during and post-sale interaction with clients never differs. At JWJ we pride ourselves on having a different approach to our customer service. John Williamson started and grew the business by offering very high quality joinery with a personable, approachable and fair way of dealing with his customers. At a time where there was no such marketable entity as ‘customer service’, John dealt with customers in a very old fashioned ‘treat as you wish to be treated’ manner, always polite, professional, and personable. Over the years, the business has grown and now includes John’s son, Chris, one of its skilled joiners, and his daughter, Sarah who takes care of all the Accounts and administrative management. As the business grew into a true family concern, John was determined it did not lose sight of its values and methods of dealing with clients, although with growth came the opportunity to refine and improve them a little. Treated more as friends rather than clients, customers of JWJ enjoy not only a friendly and informal experience, but a professional, efficient and highly organised one too. But above all, at JWJ we strive to endorse the essence of John’s original style and that is to be fair and honest.
The final element of our ‘complete’ service is installation. Whereas some companies may look to outsource this work or avoid it altogether, we carry out all installation work using our own trained staff. It is yet another way of ensuring continuity to our clients and maintaining consistent levels of quality and service. It is always our aim to carry out any installation work as efficient as possible. At an early stage, careful consideration is given to the fitting work involved, whether it is inside or out, ground level or above. Often specialist platforms or scaffolding are necessary (of which we organise) to carry out the work quickly and safely. When JWJ are onsite at a clients’ home, the philosophy is to treat the property with respect. Dust sheets are always laid down to protect flooring, there is no music playing, there are no raised voices and once finished, a thorough tidy up is always carried out before leaving. In-line with our general trading ethos, we aim to be as efficient as possible to minimize the inconvenience to our clients. Any disturbed area around the installation is rectified to decoration level as a minimum.
